For many years Douglas worked for Reuters News Agency in Sydney, Australia. Later he became a courier for a stockbroker which involved extensive international travel. He was last reported operating a real estate agency in Sydney.
After her father's death in Canada in 1973, Mary and her mother returned to Scotland.
John was an outstanding student all through school and has carried his educational expertise through to his adult life. After acquiring his teaching certificate, he became a School Vice-Principal at age 22 and a district School Superintendent for Alberta at age 35. John retired in 2002 and the family now lives in Cochrane, Alberta.
Barb was a successful real estate agent in Fort McMurray, Alberta for many years.
John worked in the 'Oil Patch' for years before going with the Department of Lands and Forest Parks Dept of the Alberta Govenment where he worked until retirement. They now live in the Rimbey area of Alberta.
John was somewhat like his older brother in that for a while he also drove the big trucks on the Alaska Highway. At the time of this entry, he was making his living as an owner/driver of school buses. He loved to drive the north country and frequently took the family travel camper to Alaska and the Yukon. Each fall before his death, he took his packhorses into the mountains on a hunting trip to fill his freezers for the winter.
Peter was the youngest in the family and eventually took over the family farm where he raised purebred Limousin cattle. Peter also owned and operated a plumbing and gas fitting business. They reportedly had two sons and a daughter.
Irene is a high school teacher.
Kenneth Christian MacKenzie WATSON
Kenneth continued the MacKenzie family tradition and joined the navy as a "Boy Entrant" and was a naval gunner for many years.
Mark farms the original land grant his grandfather Robert Fogal homesteaded on near Lafleche, Saskatchewan in partnership with his father. Mark is also active in the National Farmer's Union and the Masonic order as a Shriner.
Constance started as a School Teacher. She has received Degrees from four separate Canadian Universities and at this writing is a practicing lawyer specializing in family law in her own legal firm in Vancouver. She is heavily committed to community service work in the Vancouver area and has held elected positions with the Vancouver Parks Board and the Kitsilano Community Resource Boards. Connie has also held appointed positions with the Vancouver Public Library, two local hospitals and has been an unsuccessful candidate in Federal elections. She is also involved with Citizens Against Gambling Expansion. In 1995 she took a strong vocal and monetary part in defending Canadian Unity in the debate leading up to the Quebec referendum on the issue of Sovereignty.
