Charles lived all his married life in Oshawa. He worked at Phillips Glass.
Albert married a 3rd cousin. His line comes down from John Philip Fogal while his wife Eva's descends from William John Fogal, who were both sons of Charles Vogel and Anna Brittan, (Albert and Eva's GGGrandparents).
Albert Fogal was born near Newmarket, (Cedar Valley and Pine Orchard area), Ontario in 1895. He was a retired CNR railway lineman and came to St. Thomas in 1941 from Hornepayne in northern Ontario. He also worked for the CNR in Foleyet and Nakina, Ont. He was active in the CNR-Wabash Associations and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 41, having served in England, France and Belgium with the 127th Battalion of the 12th York Rangers during the First World War. Albert was a member of Alma Street Presbyterian Church. He was a hunter and loved not only to go hunting but always had a tale to tell. He used to talk of hunting at Byng Inlet as well as Drocourt, north of Parry Sound and Manitoulin Island. Albert loved music and could sing a mean song and recite poetry. William and Ellen show up on the 1901 census at Whitchurch. His father Henry, now widowed, lived with them in 1901.
