In his primary school years, Brandon always had a strong interest in a number of sports. One year he had the thrill of scoring the winning goal in overtime as his soccer team went through an undefeated season. His sporting interests still include soccer as well as extreme biking, golf, hockey and volleyball. He also spent his early years in Beaver, Cubs and Scouting activities as well as the service projects and camping activities associated with them. Brandon also developed an interest in art and building design, starting with his childhood Lego construction kits. In Grade nine he was awarded a Peel District Award for being in the top ten in his first year. With his strong background in Art, he became interested in Architecture at the beginning of Grade 11 and after he graduated from High School in 2004 he entered Ryerson University to pursue a career in Architecture.
During his high school and early University years Brandon helped put himself through school by working various part-time jobs for several years including summer-time employment with a Toronto Architectural Firm. He graduated from Ryerson in 2008 with a B.ArchSc.Degree and promptly took employment with a second Architectural Firm. Here his design skills involved him in drawings and structural improvements for several large shopping malls and commercial building projects. After a year and a half he was offered a better position by a third and larger Architectural Firm where he is now employed. Certainly Brandon made his father very proud when his creative thinking and design skills were used to develop the corporate logo and insignia now prominently used in both the company name and the marketing aspects of his father's new business. Brandon and his wife Karine bought a house in the East York section of Toronto where they currently reside.
Starting at a young age, Karine has always had a strong interest in both individual and team sports and has competed provincially in badminton and ringette. This sporting background has been carried forward into adulthood and into her partnering with Brandon where they both now share a competitive interest in a number of individual and team sports. Karine graduated with honours from Champlain Regional College in 2004, obtained a Degree in Pure and Applied Science, then graduated with distinction from Concordia University in 2009 with a B.Eng. Degree in Building Engineering. Karine is currently employed with an Engineering firm in Toronto working as a mechanical designer on sustainable and energy efficient building systems. Her goal is to become a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario within the next two years. She also has 'itchy' feet and as she loves to travel, she has seen much of North, Central and South America as well as parts of Asia.
