EVANS, MARIE A. - Marie A. Evans of Quispamsis, wife of the late David Robert Evans, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at her residence. Born in Chipman, New Brunswick, on January 2, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Newton and Viola (Clark) Legassie. Marie was a member of St. David's United Church, where she also attended the Senior's Group, and was a member of the Kennebecasis Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed bowling as well as cooking and baking, especially sweets. Marie is survived by her children, Daniel Evans (Eileen) of Vancouver, BC, Marcia Thibodeau of Quispamsis, and Mark Evans (Erin) of Rowley; grandchildren Allan Thibodeau (Sue), Jodi St. Pierre (Mike), Emily, Connor, and Colin Evans, David Evans, and Kelly Grass; great grandchildren Nicolas and Samantha St. Pierre; sisters Ellen Moore of Minto and Joan Whitman (MacKenzie) of Kempville, ON; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and to her parents, Marie was predeceased by brothers Lloyd Legassie (Mary) and Burns Legassie (Noella). Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM from St. David's United Church, Rothesay. MOORE, VICTOR GEORGE The death of George Victor Moore occurred Saturday, October 6th, 2007 at his home in Minto. Born in Rothwell, NB he was the son of the late Bramwell and Pauline (Skripzik) Moore. George is survived by his loving wife, Ellen (Legassie) Moore; three children, Willa-Rae Kelly (Dan) of Chipman, Kirby Moore (Kelly) of Saint John and Heather Moore (Scott) of Douglas Harbour; six grandchildren, Christina Hasson (Robert), Joey Owens, Charles Owens, Jory Moore, Michael Moore and Samantha McKeil; two great grandchildren, Lexie and Austin; 10 brothers and sisters, Hilda (Alton) Hoyt of Minto, Melvin (Rosetta) Moore of Westboro, MA, Jane (Donald) Pike of Saint John, Shirley (Murray) Scoville of Saint John, Winston (Tenna) Moore of Minto, Murray (Rose) Moore of Cody's, NB, May (Harold) Fraser of Chipman, Mary Ann (Fred) Wyllie of Fredericton, David (Bonnie) Moore of Minto and Tom Moore of Belldune; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by and infant brother and sister. Funeral Services will be held (today) 2:00 PM, Monday, October 8th, 2007 at the Christian Community Church, Minto with Pastor Kris Austin officiating.
